- The area of PDP is 187.50s cm2, therefore as per Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules,2011, under sub rule (2) & (3) of Rule 7, the height and width of the numerals and letters should not less than 2.5 mm and 0.83 mm respectively. (Excluding the numeral “1” and letters (i), (I) and (l).
- The word (U) shall be removed from the declaration of “Net Quantity”.
- As per Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules,2011, under sub rule (2) & (3) of Rule 7, the area surrounding the “Net quantity” declaration shall be free from printed information in following manner:
Above and below by space equal to or at least the height of the numeral in the declaration.
To the left and right by a space at least twice the height of numeral in the declaration. - As per Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules,2011, under sub rule (11) of Rule, the unit sale price should be as in below format:

- It is advisable to provide complete details of MRP Labels in form of Bar Code As well. This is referring to the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, under sub rule (1) (a) & (b) of Rule 8, There shall be a barcode on the panel.
- It is advisable please keep PDP free from any other text so that the MRP label does not overlap with other text.
